Committed to story.
My core belief: dating back to the days of the oral storytelling tradition, straight through the invention of the printing press and the advent of mass media, story remains among our most important core human assets. It could be a documentary. It could be a podcast. It could be an unscripted television show. It could even be an experience made for the stage - one room at a time. But the capture, commemoration and celebration of the stories that bind us together through experience; as a contribution to the ongoing human project, it’s value is incalculable.
During the pandemic I realized the urgency of capturing stories before they are lost.
“I am not anxious to be the loudest voice or the most popular. But I would like to think that at a crucial moment, I was an effective voice of the voiceless, an effective hope of the hopeless.”
